Once connected to your Workiz account, your techs can take payments directly from the mobile app using a secure card reader. The payment is logged instantly to the corresponding job and invoice, and your reports are updated in real time. No manual entry, no syncing delays.

Do you support Tap to Pay contactless payments?
Yes. Using Tap to Pay through the Workiz app lets you take physical payments without needing to purchase new hardware. It effectively turns your phone into a payment terminal and offers similar benefits to those that card readers offer, except that you cannot physically swipe or insert a card.
How is using a card reader different from Tap To Pay with the Workiz app?
Both methods sync with your Workiz account.
Tap to pay in the Workiz app is a great option for collecting payments and doesn’t require you to buy a card reader, charge the card reader, or carry more hardware. It’s quick, easy, and free to set up, and generally, businesses prefer it to using a card reader.
However, having a card reader does gives you a more traditional, tactile payment experience that suites customers who prefer to insert or swipe their physical card.
Can I connect multiple card readers for my team?

You can assign many card readers to team members so they can each accept payments in the field. Every reader can be paired with one device.
Are card reader payments synced with QuickBooks?
Yes.
If you’re using Workiz’s QuickBooks integration, any payments processed through the card reader are automatically reflected in your accounting system—no extra steps required.
Is there a mobile setup for card readers?

Card readers are fully compatible with the Workiz mobile app. Techs can connect the device via Bluetooth and process payments in the field using their mobile phone or tablet.
What types of cards are accepted?
