Workiz Inc. (“Workiz” “us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the www.workiz.com website, including Workiz’s application (“App”) (together, the “Service(s)”).
- Information Collection And Use
While using our Service, we will ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, the Pro and the Consumer’s email address, name, zip code, credit card details, phone number, postal address, other information (“Personal Information”). In addition, if a Consumer uses WorkizPay to pay for goods and services (currently provided by Stripe), we will collect the Consumer’s name, email address, phone number, postal address, zip code and your credit card details used in the transaction with us. If a Pro decides to make a Sunbit loan product available to a Consumer, we will collect the Consumer’s name, email address, postal address, zip code, credit card details and phone number. If you participate in our referral program, we collect you name and email address. We collect this information for the purpose of providing the Service, including, without limitation, the Stripe payment services and the Sunbit facilitated loans, allowing you to participate in our referral program, and providing you with any rewards in accordance with our referral program terms, identifying and communicating with you, responding to your requests/inquiries, servicing your purchase orders, improving our services and marketing communication. The consequences for not collecting this Personal Information are that we will not be able to provide you with the Services, or as applicable, advise technicians the location of the job, send notifications to Pros, allow you to participate in our referral program and/or process payments (amongst other things).
Please note that some of the Personal Information will be used for detecting, taking steps to prevent, and prosecution of fraud or other illegal activity, to identify and repair errors, to conduct audits, and for security purposes. Personal Information may also be used to comply with applicable laws, with investigations performed by the relevant authorities, law enforcement purposes, and/or to exercise or defend legal claims. In certain cases, we may or will anonymize or de-identify your Personal Information and further use it for internal and external purposes, including, without limitation, to improve the services and for research purposes. “Anonymous Information” means information which does not enable identification of an individual user, such as aggregated information about the use of our services. We may use Anonymous Information and/or disclose it to third parties without restrictions (for example, in order to improve our services and enhance your experience with them).
- Log Data
We will also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

We may use third party services that collect, monitor and analyze this type of information in order to increase our Service’s functionality. - We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback.
- Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf. For further details, please see the ‘about Hotjar’ section of Hotjar’s support site.
- Location Data.
Once you download the mobile App, the mobile App will request access to your device location. When access is granted, Workiz will be able to track the physical location of your device. This information will be used to provide the Service and to improve our mobile App.
You can remove the App location tracking or change the location tracking permission to a specific time by changing your privacy settings on your device.
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. The Help feature on most browsers provides information on how to accept cookies, disable cookies or to notify you when receiving a new cookie.
If you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some features of our Service and we recommend that you leave them turned on.
- Marketing practices
Through our Services, we allow third party advertising partners (including, without limitation, Facebook, TikTok, Microsoft Ads, Taboola, Capterra, Snapchat, Clickcease, Infinigrow, Partnerstack, Unbounce, Yahoo) to set technologies and other tracking tools to collect information regarding your activities and your device (e.g., your IP address, mobile/App/Website identifiers, page(s) visited, location, time of day). We also combine and share such information and other information (such as demographic information and past purchase history) with third party advertising partners. These advertising partners will use this information (and similar information collected from other websites) for purposes of delivering targeted and/or behavioral advertisements to you when you visit third party websites within their networks. This practice is commonly referred to as “interest-based advertising” or “online behavioral advertising. We allow access to other data collected by the services to share information that may be useful, relevant, valuable or otherwise of interest to you. If you prefer not to share your Personal Information with third party advertising partners, you may let us know.

We may share your Personal Information with our business partners with whom we jointly offer products or services, and depending on the type of Personal Information, with our customers, consultants and payment processors, including without limitation Stripe and Sunbit. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services and/or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. When you sign up to receive SMS’s, we will send you text marketing and notifications offers to your cellphone. If you want to unsubscribe from receiving text marketing messages you should reply with a key word (as explained in the SMS that you received – for example, “STOP”) to any mobile message sent from us to use the unsubscribe link we provided you with any of our messages. We will use third party platforms and services to send you the text messages and to allow you to unsubscribe.
- Your privacy rights. How to delete your account

Subject to legal and other permissible considerations, we will make every reasonable effort to honor your request promptly in accordance with applicable law or inform you if we require further information in order to fulfill your request. However, given the nature of sharing on certain services, any public activity on your account prior to deletion will remain stored on our servers and will remain accessible to the public.

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable and commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, in order to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Information we have collected from you.
